How can overhead lifting movements be made more visible to people on the shop floor? For this installation, OHIS Industrie combined a 3.2-ton Stahl CraneSystems ST chain hoist with wireless Tele Radio control and SafeSpots projecting a blue warning line onto the floor.
Robust lifting technology at a height of 8 metres
For this application, OHIS Industrie installed a Stahl CraneSystems ST electric chain hoist with a lifting capacity of 3.2 tonnes on a monorail system.
The hoist operates at a height of approximately 8 metres and is controlled wirelessly using a Tele Radio remote control. This allows the operator to control the lifting equipment without being tied to a fixed control position.
A clearly visible warning on the shop floor
Part of the monorail runs above a walkway. To make people in this area more aware of the presence of the overhead hoist, the installation was equipped with SafeSpots.
When the hoist moves above the walkway, the SafeSpots project a clearly visible blue line onto the floor.
This creates an immediate visual signal at floor level, drawing attention to the presence of the lifting equipment above the walkway.
Safety as part of the complete lifting solution
For us, a lifting installation involves more than selecting a hoist and its supporting structure. The controls, working environment and safety of the people around the equipment are equally important considerations.
This installation brings several elements together:
- Stahl CraneSystems ST chain hoist
- 3.2-ton lifting capacity
- Monorail system at approximately 8 metres
- Wireless Tele Radio remote control
- SafeSpots with blue line projection
The result is a robust lifting solution combining performance, ease of use and visible workplace safety.
OHIS Industrie is happy to help you develop a lifting solution tailored to your application, from the hoist and crane system to controls and additional safety equipment.
