OHIS is building a new sustainable facility in Ghislenghien

OHIS started in September 2019 in the garage of Christophe Bontinck. What began as a small but ambitious project quickly grew into a dynamic company known for reliable lifting and ergonomic solutions.

By March 2020, the garage became too small and OHIS moved into an IDETA “Hall Relais” in the Orientis industrial zone in Ghislenghien. This allowed us to grow further, but in 2026 we again reach the limits of the current building.

New facility in Orientis 3

OHIS is now constructing a new, modern and future‑ready facility in Orientis 3. The first shovel hit the ground on 5 September. Earthworks and structural works by ICM and Wanty are already progressing well.

We are excited to move into this new building, which will be far more practical — and significantly more sustainable.

Sustainability at the core

Together with AAVO Architects, we opted for:

  • durable, long‑lasting materials
  • energy‑efficient systems
  • maximum use of renewable energy
  • permeable pavements for car parking zones
  • landscaping designed to support local fauna & flora

Room to grow — and space for others

The building has been intentionally oversized, with room for future expansion.
